This painting is done from a photo originally taken in 1978 at the Townsend Thoresen FF1600, this is equivalent to the UK series now, round at Snetterton. In this piece you can see Robert
Coates’ Hawke DL19 Formula Ford however sitting in the car is Michael Barrett.
For this piece I used watercolour and gouache to create the
finished product.
